DESCRIPTION

The Advanced Grant Writing Workshop will enhance your Grant Writing skills so that you will be able to write more competitively. In this workshop, you will learn how to tackle various letter formats, create a professional purpose statement, and find reliable data and statistics to support your proposal. You will learn different techniques to sharpen your grammar, composition, proofreading and editing skills. You will become proficient with the proposal format used by most government and private agencies. Previous writing experience or knowledge of basic grant writing are recommended prerequisites for this workshop. Participants will actively engage in exercises designed to strengthen their mastery of writing proposals that get funded. Participants will receive an example of a funded grant proposal. Also, each participant will receive a grant funding opportunity in which they will draft a proposal for in class.

This workshop will benefit participants with little or advanced writing experience, such as Editors, Storytellers, Business, and Academic Writers, Freelancers, Ghostwriters, Staff Writers, Journalists, Reviewers, Speech Writers, and Grant Writers from the government, foundation and private agencies.
